I'm a big fan of Rimmel cosmetics and when I spotted their newest foundation on a recent shopping trip, I just had to try it and share my thoughts with you!
Dewy and natural finish foundations appear to be popular at the moment, I will always prefer the matte look but I thought I'd give this a whirl as I wanted to give my skin a break from heavy foundations. This claims to be a fresh, shine-free, natural finish foundation which allows the skin to breathe. It comes in a glass bottle which is different to the usual Rimmel foundations as it has no pump. I feel like with this you would get more product out of the bottle, but in fact I found it to be quite messy.
The texture of this foundation is bouncy and spongy, almost like it's whipped, application was fairly easy and smooth but the first layer was very sheer and looked like I had no foundation on. I prefer a heavier coverage so I put on three layers to build it up. It is slightly buildable but adding more layers didn't make much of a difference. It leaves quite a shiny and dewy finish which is glowing but overall I wasn't a fan of this as it's oily and I found that like most Rimmel foundations, this separated on my skin throughout the day.

It dried to a leave a shiny finish which as the day went on looked slightly patchy in areas, it felt comfortable to wear and it did feel very light on my skin as if my skin could actually breathe but I just didn't like the finish it gave. I got this for £7.99 from Tesco and whilst I'm glad I tried it, I definitely would not repurchase.
