For my very first blog post I would like to share my thoughts on some products by Rimmel I bought on a recent haul. Rimmel has always been one of my favourite drug store brands so I thought I'd try a few new products.

Thoughts
Lasting Finish 25H foundation in ivory
I absolutely adore this, it is my go to foundation for work and everyday wear, I like to use primer underneath and then use a mattifying setting powder on top and I find that this helps the foundation to last all day. I find it very comfortable to wear and it feels like I'm not even wearing any foundation, I put this down to the comfort serum it contains. I would say that this is medium coverage but it is buildable to make it full coverage, I find it is very good value for money and contains quite a lot of product in the bottle.
5pan eyeshadow palette in brixton brown
I had spotted this eyeshadow palette on a YouTube review and I loved the colours which remind me of autumn. I was quite dubious to try this at first as drugstore eyeshadow palettes are notorious for not containing much pigment however despite my reservations, this did not disappoint. I find the eyeshadows contain a fair amount of pigment, however I like to use eye primer underneath to ensure the eyeshadow stays put. The colours compliment each other and blend really well, my favourite colour is the gold red colour in the centre, this is perfect for autumn or a smoky eye look for a party. I find the colours are quite dark however, so it would not be suitable for work but I enjoy wearing them on my days off.
Lasting Finish by Kate 15 Year Collection lipstick in retro red
I have always loved the Kate Moss collection of lipsticks so when this was launched to celebrate 15 years of the collaboration with Rimmel I knew I had to have it! I love the metallic pink packaging and I chose the colour retro red which is a deep red with a hint of purple, I would describe it as a berry red which again would look good in autumn paired with the brixton brown eyeshadow palette. The colour reminds me of Marilyn Monroe as it's such a bold and striking colour, I usually blot it once I have applied just to tone down the colour slightly and to make it more wearable but overall I love it and I also find that it's a good dupe for the So Marilyn lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury.
I hope you enjoyed my first blog post, please tell me what you think in the comments and I welcome any suggestions for products you would like to see reviewed in the near future.
